The Culture Of R. Swaider

Distinctly adding comfort and happiness into our chaotic world. Menswear label R.SWIADER philosophy of unexpected structures conveys the designer’s attention on the intricate cuts, form and subtle detailing. Heavily influenced by art, culture and people Designer Rafal Swiader collaborated with photographer Martyn Thompson, who curated textiles from his photographs for the spring-summer collection. The designer drew inspiration from the Grecian world and streets of New York City to introduce a modern vision.

Stating “For Spring 2018 I wanted to look into the future and break the rules of traditional menswear and Martyn Thompson Studio fabrics are the perfect backdrop for this story. I mixed elements of ancient Greece, modern day New York City living while looking ahead into to the future where there are no rules.” The result was a collection that pays close attention to ease and wearability.  Cleverly constructed jackets, trousers, kaftans, and shirts are accented by raw edges with an emphasis on stitching. While his menswear makes a statement, R.SWIADER creates a perfect relationship between concept and comfort.
